Just the...norm?

I've been having a lot of thoughts lately. More so than usual. LIKE....how does one spell the abbreviation of usual? I won't lie, I have attempted it many times...all attempts having ended in TORMENT... followed by defeat and backspacing...and turning to the only other alternative-norm... Who says norm? No one. I lie. Everyone says norm because no one was ever taught how to spell usge? usgge? usugh? U-suge? Usg?
